back from my trip! :D
overall, loveeeeddd the resort. a tad too far away from town (costs us 300baht to get to town 15 mins away). they did provide FREE shuttle bus service. but its nearly always fully booked.
and unlucky unlucky me to have my period on new year eve. ya. i noe. quite disgusting for u. but i jus wanted to complain. should prepare more $ to splurge there. coz their spa very exp so i didnt go for one. went for 2 thai massages though.. snorkelling wasnt that great either.. the fishes were quite ok.. tioman's one was better.. maybe wrong timing or wrong place..
but what i feel is.. MUST do some research..
Transport: 2300bht (bbk to hotel) + 4000bht (hotel to bkk) + 1000baht (taxi)
Snorkelling at Koh Talu: 2200 bht each person (inclusive of gear, ferry, van, food)
Thai boxing: 600bht each person
yups. looks like i did very little things right? haha ok la. we spent half of our time outside the resort and half of the time inside. let the pics show u..

we reached around 9am, flight 1055am. and super tired. coz we were up till about 5am the previous night..
Arrived at Dhevan Dara Resort & Spa
After 2hour 20mins flight. we got ourselves a cab pretty cheaply at 2300baht to huahin (thanks to darling's bargaining...). so 3.5 hours cab ride to our hotel... thank goodness we brought my laptop and Huo Yuan Jia. we arrived at 5pm their time. booked a shuttle bus to go to town and headed to our room..
i did some research and wanted to go to the national parks, waterfall and some sightseeing. but darling not too keen on sightseeing he prefer to DO stuff like kayak, swim, snorkel.. but we tried. couldnt find a cheap transport to get there.. and didn want to book through the hotel (dont book trips and tours through hotels, they TOCK u.) in the end, walk walk walk, no taxi no anything. fed up. hot. gonna quarrel already.. and we decided to give up the idea of going Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park. :( nvm.. at least we found an tour agency --> Adventure Tours (near the Clock Tower, left of Starbucks). booked our snorkelling at Koh Talu and Thai boxing for the 3rd day. :DDD
and we headed back to hotel in a taxi. bargained with a lady for 250baht.
we decided to take the lady's number and call her whenever we need a taxi.. :)
back to the hotel, it was swimming time! :) i didnt bring my cam! so didnt take pics of the pool. but i think the pool can be improved on.. maybe cause some of their villas have their own private pools.. :(
more Huo Yuan Jia and finally DINNER TIME! we arranged for the taxi lady to bring us to the Grand Night Market 2 km away.. but first.. we were itching for a Thai Massage. :) she recommended this place and when we thanked her, she said, "no problem, i work for you'. haha feel like a princess.. have my own chauffeur..

oh ya! mus tell u all this.. we were in the room.. and at 6plus pm. 2 ladies came and said.. 'do you want us to open the bed?' We were puzzled.. but we jus say 'ok'. then u know what they did?
they came in.. changed the flower on the bed and something which i dunno... thats the 'open' the bed. i hope someone will be able to explain to me...
we unpacked and headed to the restaurant for the CNY new year buffet & bbq dinner. 450baht each. very exp but we couldnt wait till 9pm to have dinner. soo splurgeee.. :)Paradise 10. love the name.

its actually a swing bed. so quite fun.. haha and comfy! :)
didnt take pics for that night. but we arrived back at hotel at 1130 and continued our Huo Yuan Jia.. then its ZZZzzzzZZzZ... i love the bed too!! i always fall into very deep slp. unlike Tioman's one where i keep having nightmares.. :X

we had the oil massage for 320baht.. but i dun think it was very good lehs. i preferred the Krabi one. :) this one not very shiok..

its snorkelling at Koh Talu for Day 3
we had to wake up at 5plus am. coz the journey to Koh Talu takes about 4hours. 3 hours plus from our hotel to some pier. then a half hour ferry to the island. anyway i read in forums that snorkelling and diving best to do at Koh Talu than Hua Hin so decided to give it a try..
anyway, got 1 small fish got caught in my fbt shorts lor! so scary... i was thinking 'whats that keep poking my thigh'.. then i saw and quickly took off my shorts. haha too bad the fish dead le. we stopped at Koh Talu for 2 hours.. and used this opportunity to get a Thai massage! (this time was better than the previous)

alright man. thai boxing.. didnt really know what they were doing.. but agar agar coz of the audience shouting. hahaa and its super funny i tell u. when someone falls, BOTH sides start to scream and yell and clap... so i didnt really noe who was winning. moreover, they have 3 judges to determine the winner. should have read up abit on it. but was really spur of the moment thing.
anyway, i'll post up a video for anyone whos interested. the boxers all looked very young. but theres this one match. between a young girl and a young boy. i was clappping damn loudly for the girl.. coz she really good. but the boy managed to overpower her and won in the end.. :(
they were fighting until the umpire also kenna hit by them a few times. hahahhahaha
after this, called taxi lady again.. and the pig craves for some durian.. so she brought us to this place. where there there HUGE HUGE durians for sale. like maybe the size of my head? haha rounder also. hahhaa but NOT NICE. or maybe very different from ours. what i ate was very dry. hard. not sweet also.

after some snorkelling, massage and tanning.. we are happy pple :) but i must say. was abit disappointed with the snorkellingg.. coz not much overall. maybe wrong timing.. but glad that i did it. will continue to find more places to snorkel if i have the chance...

we managed to catch breakfast. woke up late late.. the bed is jus superb. last few pics at the resort :((
then we're off to the airport... super long ride again. but lappy saved the day.

real tired.. and had to work the next day. but!!!! dunno why so suay. something happened to our airplane.. and we had to land.. 9+pm we reached some place in thailand... and we were told that our next flight will be at 12am their time!!! thank goodness they were nice enough to packed fried rice and mineral water for us.. we reached Changi airport at 0320am. :( not a very good ending..
